2011 Player of the Year Award prize increase

Tournament officials have announced the recipient of the 2011 Player of the Year award will receive $250 along with the Player of the Year trophy.
The Reno Open Tournament Series is open to all USBC members. Junior bowlers are also eligible to compete for scholarship prize money.
The 2011 season will consist of an estimated twelve tournaments including the World Series of Bowling,
The Players' Championship, and the Tournament of Champions. Two tournaments will be held each month beginning in October of 2010.
The tournament series is expected to run through April 2011, and will conclude with the 2011 Tournament of Champions.
Bowlers finishing in the top five in each tournament receive points ranging from 16 points for first place to 1 point for fifth place for regular tournaments. Major tournament including the Tournament of Champions award 24 points to the winner.
The bowler with the top point total at the end of the tournament season will be declared the winner. The 2011 tournament series will feature the popular Six Game Matchplay Open tournament format once each month beginning in November 2010.
